Fun with 201

The Event 201 coronavirus pandemic exercise was followed by the first report of 201 cases of a SARS-like virus out of Wuhan, which was followed by the highly publicized report of 201 people on the evacuation flight out of China and the first big US CDC report of 201 deaths from covid-19.

The first area code, 201, now sits in the epicenter of the crisis. Italy, the first epicenter outside of China, is home to the Pope, who is the first Jesuit Pope and first Pope to shun traditional housing, moving instead into Suite 201 and addressing the world from there and from his throne in front of a 20.1 meter 'The Resurrection' statue. We are now told that, if active, we need to stay at least 66 feet (20.1 meters) apart to avoid spreading covid-19. 

In the lead up to the covid-19 pandemic, 201 Saudis were arrested in their royal crackdown and 201 powerful men were brought down by #MeToo. Twitter announced that it had suspended 201 accounts suspected of trying to rig the US election. The ADL reports 201 anti-semetic incidents on college campuses. Americans got scammed out of $201 million from online romance scams in 2019 and an estimated 20.1 billion RFID tags were sold in 2019. The National Sexual Assault hotline saw a 201% increase in calls during the Kavanaugh hearing and Dr. Fauci's NIAID awards $201 million to the Center for Vaccine Development. A card skimming hack hit 201 college campuses and a CBS lawsuit alleged insider trading of $201 million. A mysterious Silicon Valley billionaire takes out a record life insurance policy for $201 million. 

Now the US Congress currently battles over a 2.01 trillion pound covid-19 stimulus package. India's government affixed an Rs 201 per day value to unskilled labor while their PM's lockdown orders were watched on a reported 201 channels. The UN says that developing nations need a 2.01 trillion pound covid-19 stimulus package, for many of their 201 recognized states and territories. Studies of 201 covid-19 patients out of Wuhan are used to guide public discourse while mysterious patient #201 in the Philippines is no longer with us. Insiders buy and sell shares incorporating 201 while some of the biggest hit values simultaneously 201% from their 52-week high and 201% from their 52-week low. 

Interestingly, Martin Luther King Jr. was in Room 201 prior to being murdered, Lee Harvey Oswald was introduced to the world at 2:01, Princess Diana arrived to the hospital at 2:01 and the Facebook Live killer murdered Mr. Godwin at 2:01. Suite 201 is dedicated to The King, Elvis Presley and The King Michael Jackson had a BMI of 20.1 at his death. 

The Office, The Cosby Show, The X-Files, Walker: Texas Ranger and The Facts of Life, some of the most popular shows of their respective era, have 201 episodes each, with the finale of The Facts of Life being titled 'The Beginning of the Beginning'. LOTR Return of the King and James Dean's final film Giant have run times of 201 minutes. 

The Ziggurat of Ur sits at 20.1 meters high and the Great Pyramid of Giza has 201 levels or 'courses'. The Sphinx is 20.1 meters long while obelisks of the pharoahs and statues of Ramses sit at 20.1 meters high. The biggest Moai on Easter Island was measured at 20.1 meters, as was the original pyramid at Chichen Itza in Mexico and the pyramid of Niches. The columns of St. Peter's tower 20.1 meters high, as does the nearby wall used by Michelangelo for his famous fresco. Then a man is killed, in the church where Michelangelo is buried, by a decorative chunk that fell from 20.1 meters. 

The Bean in Chicago, The Christ of Havana and The Christ of the Ozarks measure 66 feet (20.1 meters). 

What does all of this mean? Possibly nothing. Possibly everything.
